Your Donations to the VFW helps keep our Service Officers on the job so the VFW can help those family members of our Veterans and Veterans alike to get the Medical support and Veterans Benefits they have coming too them. Most importantly the VFW supports the troops and families now, when they need your help.
One way your donation is used is the VFW's Adopt A Unit program, in which military units are supported directly. Besides sending goody packages to the troops, Posts work on the local level to offer moral and monetary support to the dependents left behind when a unit deploys. Since the war on terrorism began in 2001, more than 1,000 military units, including U.S. Navy ship squadrons and U.S. Army infantry units, have been adopted.
