 As Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, we are both yesterday’s and today’s defenders of freedom and justice for our Country. Regardless of what branch of Service (Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy or Coast Guard) there exists a unique relationship between men and women who have shared the military experience in battle zones. No matter where one served, World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Persian Gulf, Kosovo, Iraq, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns, the battlefield is our common link.
As Veterans, we chose to serve and by doing so, assumed all the risks associated with maintaining freedom. As Veterans, we have a shared sense of duty and a common belief in a cause higher than self. As VFW members, we are her because we understand the true essence of America and its’ beliefs; and the price paid to be eligible to join the ranks of the VFW.
